Ava Kate's Baby Dedication

Last Sunday, we celebrated Ava Kate's dedication to God at our church with several other families and their new babies.  It was a sweet and special time for us and we had several of our immediate family members and close friends there to witness.  Ava Kate wore one of my baby dresses... maybe even the one I was dedicated in, though we aren't positive since no one can remember, haha :)

Besides it being a special time for us to dedicate our precious baby to God, it was special since it's was at the same church that Parker & I both were dedicated, grew up, were baptized, met, and married in.  How special is that?  We love our church and church family and feel so blessed to have such special people in our lives.

Of course having our own family there made it special, too!  :)  We had a chance to get some good family pictures...  (Yes it looks like my dad has no arms... but they're just behind his back lol!)

Ava Kate behaved perfectly!  I was worried she might fuss, but she didn't.  She slept through the whole service and only fussed while we were taking pictures because she needed a diaper change.  We might have prayed the night before for her to sleep through the service... and if she cried, we prayed that another baby would cry too!  haha...  #dontjudgeus
