Around the time I was born, my parents started a tradition of going to the beach for a week every summer. The last few years, Parker and I haven't been able to go for the whole week because of work, but we always make it for a weekend. This year, things were obviously going to be a bit different without Mom, but Dad & Weston decided to go as usual. I was a little anxious for them, but prayed that the trip would be about new memories and relaxation. Weston had a buddy go with them and after spending the weekend with them, I think it was a great trip full of laughs. Parker and I went down on Friday afternoon and on Saturday night we all played putt-putt. I am not very good, but I love playing!
I also have the new urge to take pictures of our memories in the making because I love going back and looking at photos and cherishing time spent with loved ones. Sometimes, looking back at pictures of Mom and times we shared is just what I need.
Clearly, I completely missed the hole in this one.
Dad won as usual. Parker & Connor tied and Weston and I competed for last place. Haha!
I also got a haircut on Friday, see? The hairdresser said it was close to 6 inches that she cut off. I guess that's what happens when you talk about getting your haircut for 3 months before doing it...
Another tradition we have is taking a picture on the balcony of the condo the morning we leave. We're usually sweaty from packing and loading the car up so please pardon the sleepy, unshowered look we sport in our family photo :)
Me and my favorite guys :) Love them!
