Our church's youth group (which is awesome by the way) is doing a photo-a-day challenge for Lent. I've decided to participate and wanted to invite you to do the same! All you have to do is follow the schedule below and #Lent2015 #OakmontYouth. It doesn't have to be a doodle... in fact, it should be a photograph (unless you don't have one you want to use).
Today's theme is "Who am I?"
Here's the schedule:
Although I believe that Lent in its
nontraditional sense has become mainstreamed and almost fad-like, I do think it's nice to take a few minutes of the day to reflect and prepare for the celebration of Christ's resurrection. Instead of "fasting" from sins and vices (which I think we should strive to do daily, not just during the Lent season), let's focus on renewing our focus and intentions towards God. I won't post my photo-of-the-day on my blog every day, so if you want to see it, follow me on Twitter or Instagram!
