Happy Thanksgiving! This year, I feel like my cup runneth over! I am so thankful for the abundance of love and blessings in our lives! I usually make a list of things that I'm thankful for each day of November leading up to Thanksgiving, but I haven't done that yet this year... so here it goes:
- God and the mercy and grace He shows me every day. I am so undeserving.
- My handsome, caring, generous husband who loves me unconditionally. He makes me smile and laugh and I can't imagine being anyone's but his!
- My sweet family that brings such joy to my life!
- My awesome, thoughtful Dad - he is such a good man who never ceases to amaze me with his strength, wit, and wisdom. I am, and will always be, a daddy's girl.
- Our fun, loving friends - we love spending time and making memories with them! I don't know what I would do without them - they are truly the best friends a girl could have!
- Our church family - we love hanging out with our friends from church!
- Our financial stability - while we are by no means rich, we are blessed with financial peace :)
- Our jobs - see above! Enjoying your job makes work a lot better!
- My co-workers - they make me laugh at least once a day and make the hard days less tough!
- My students - they keep me grounded with their dreams and obstacles.
- Our cozy, carefully-made home - perfect for the two of us!
- The time and memories I shared with my sweet mom - oh, how I miss her, but I take comfort in knowing she worships Jesus in His very presence!
- Rest - as much as I love the busyness of our lives filled with family, friends, and work, I do love the time we get to just rest together!
- The holiday season full of joy, yummy food, and time with loved ones
- Music - I do love to sing (although I don't sing well) - sometimes serious, sometimes silly
- Good health - enough said!
- Reliable transportation - this makes life a lot easier!
- The ability to scratch and feel the relief of an itch. I don't know why, but I always think of this when I scratch a really itchy itch. Seriously - what if you could never feel the relief of an itch?
- Carolina - my education, the experiences I had there were some of my favorite memories... what a wonderful place to be!
- The outdoors - whether it's at the beach or in the middle of the mountains... there's something about fresh air and God's creation
- Laughter - I dearly love to laugh! It truly is the best medicine.
- A joyful heart & spirit, which is most definitely a gift from God! What a dreadful life it would be to be in the slumps all the time!
Life is wonderful! God is good all the time! Happy Thanksgiving - hope you were able to spend time with your loved ones and reflect on your blessings too!
