What a year 2012 has been! There's been good and sad memories, but I feel so blessed to have had such a wonderful year! We are looking forward to what 2013 will bring! :) I can't believe it'll be 2013! Whoa. It seems like we were just celebrating Y2K! Parker and I started dating in 2003, and here we are about to ring in our 10th new year! Time is flying! My Dad always says that time flies faster as you get older... I can't imagine how fast time will go in the years to come. I am trying to savor every moment of life. Here's a recap of moments to remember from 2012:
January
- Mom died on January 9, 2012 and the rest of the month was a complete blur
February
- We started breathing again and learning to deal with life without Mom
- I celebrated my 23rd birthday, my first as a wife :)
March
- My Aunt Debbie passed away after battling breast cancer, which was another blow to our grieving family
April
- Parker & I decided to go backpacking with the youth group at church. It was gorgeous, fun, rewarding, and exhausting!
May
- I wrapped up a year of coaching - I miss the girls, but not the time commitment
- Weston had his 2nd round of pancreatitis & doctors wanted him to see a specialist
June
- I survived my first year teaching and loved it!
- I went to the beach for some much needed girl time with Amanda & Lauren
- We celebrated our first wedding anniversary with a trip to a sweet little cottage in Cedar Island
July
- We had our first family vacation without Mom at the beach - bittersweet, but we made many happy new memories
- We almost had a squirrel repeat... and we lost some nice deck pillows as a result!
August
- After a refreshing, but quick summer, I started my 2nd year of teaching and Weston started his 1st year of high school
- Parker & I celebrated our 9th "dating anniversary" :)
- Aliza Louise was born - my dear friend Carrie's third child
September
- School continued...
- ECU football season started
- We celebrated Parker's 26th birthday

October
- We had SCHS Homecoming week with the first ever Sadie Hawkins dance
- Weston had his 3rd round of pancreatitis (we now know he has auto-immune pancreatitis)
- I shot a gun for the first time... and probably the last (it was scary!) AND I hit the target! :)
November
- The Presidential Election - fun semester to teach Civics!
- We went to the Dean Dome for Carolina's season opener
- Thanksgiving traditions - new and old
- We decorated for Christmas
December
- Enjoyed our 2nd Christmas as the Morgans
- Started planning for our next home :)
