Ok, so this post has like 100 pictures. Sorry, not sorry. I'm about to tell you a story of a little girl's first birthday and a weekend at the river for the Fourth of July. It takes a lot of pictures to tell the story, okay?
On the eve of the precious little girl's first birthday, her mommy and daddy went to check on her like always - except this time, it was the last time they checked on their "zero year old" and the mommy shed a tear or five. Or six. Or ten. (Who's counting?)
The daddy said, "Straighten up woman! We're on a mission!" You see, they had big plans to blow up a bunch of balloons to surprise the little girl in her crib the next morning. See? 15 to be exact.
Let's just say the little girl may have been surprised, but she was also very unamused at 6:15 am.
Not to be alarmed! There were big plans still to come! The next surprise was chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast! The little girl was much more impressed with this surprise, and she gobbled it down in a hurry!
Later, the family headed to the river to hang out with family for the Fourth of July. The little girl loves her baby cousin. (Although, the feeling might not be mutual, haha!)
They sang "Happy Birthday" to her and she posed like so:
But, then laughed and said, "Ah! Just kidding guys!" and sat up straight for the blowing out of her one lonely candle!
She got to open a few gifts (which she became a pro at after her first birthday party - but that's a whole 'nother story!)
The next day the family celebrated with a big spread of deliciousness for Independence day!
Baby cousin was precious as ever! Just like her mom!
All the girl cousins so sweet in their matching bows...
Precious baby girl with her hair blowing in the wind...
She's such a ham. :)
Later in this awkward little fairy tale blog post… The daddy put the little girl in her life vest for a dip in the river. They're such jokesters!
The little girl was a natural floater much to her Daddy's excitement!
And that's the end of this weird little blog post. Don't worry… they are living their happily ever after! :)
Happy Fourth of July from the Morgans!
