One Year!!

Weight & Height: We'll know for sure at her appointment on Monday, but on our scale she weights 20 lbs 6 oz and she's 29" long by our measurements.

Clothes & Diapers: Size 3 diapers and mostly 12 month outfits with a several exceptions.

Eating & Sleeping:   For the most part, she eats whatever we eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  She's been nursing 4 times a day, but I know she's probably only getting about 3-4 oz when she does, so we've also been giving her milk at breakfast and right before bed after she nurses.  She sleeps 11 hours at night and takes two 1-2 hour naps during the day.

Mood:  Happy, curious, sweet, snuggly, active!  Her little personality is just precious!

Likes: Books, books, books… the girl loves books.  She also loves playing in the water, dancing and playing music, playing with other children, giving kisses, and walking.

Dislikes: Um, nothing I can think of right now.

Milestones: She says bye-bye, is walking like a champ, blows and gives kisses.  She had her last bottle  and moved up to the one year old room at church last Sunday!  She's had her first taste of cow's milk, and she ate a little bit of cake at her first birthday party… but she did not want to!  She cried when we tried to make her eat it… I was shocked!  She will eat off of a plate without throwing it in the floor most of the time, and she will point to a characters' eyes in a book and turn the pages while we read.  She also randomly stopped sucking her thumb this week after we had to put a bandaid on it one day because of a blister.   She dances to music, "brushes" her hair with a brush, signs "more," and points to what she wants.  She had her 1st birthday party and went swimming in a big pool for the first time.

Sentimental Things Mommy Wants to Remember: I just love her little waddle run to me with her arms reaching out to grab mine!  I love the sweet snuggle time we've recently started before she goes to bed.  We listen to her glow-worm lullabies and rock.  Ah.  It melts my heart.

Practical Things Mommy Wants to Remember: I still have about 75 oz of breast milk in the freezer that I guess I'll start giving her as I stop nursing over the next week or so.
